Kelley Family Time in San Clemente

Noelle and Ollie eating their suckers after the petting zoo.
Oliver outfitted in all his Mickey Mouse glory!
These really cute vintage trains had the cutest advertisements, we just had to snap a few shots.
Noelle might have to relocate to California from Utah. This girl needs the beach, just look at that smile!

Maybe one of my favorite pictures of all time.
Can you tell Oliver loves animals. Now he asks for a bunny everyday. Hmmm, a bunny is easier than a dog...
So all the Facer boys have these animal names. Like Ryan is tortoise for example, Aaron is owl, you get the idea. This picture makes me want to nominate Ami's animal name as bunny. She fits right in.
Grandma always tries to help.
What's up San Juan Capistrano?

Carson was the most hilarious thing I'd ever seen at the beach. Like seriously Leah set him down and he ran as fast as he could into the waves, 3 times! And we're talking drowning, choking on water, smiling and laughing all the while. If only we got it on video.
So funny story. I totally signed up for season passes for us and actually almost felt sick as it sunk in that I had just spent over 400 dollars to do it. As the day progressed I realized, there is no way I can do this, what was I thinking! I mean my whole family was there to help and it was still a little crazy. I could not imagine the insanity of Disneyland with a 3 year old and a baby. That would be like paying to be tortured. Ok I'm being dramatic but really, so not worth it. In a few years it will be the perfect time for those passes, but not this year my friends. Luckily after some pleading I got a refund at the end of the day. Phew.
Just can't get any cuter, that's all there is to it. Grandma did a lot of baby duty so I could go on rides with Ollie. It was the best, thanks Mom.

Oliver's face on the Nemo submarine ride. It was my first time on the ride too and I was almost as excited. Almost.
Noelle can't help but be a mommy. Some girls just know their calling in life.
Pete and Noelle on the rocket ride (the reigning favorite of Mr. Ollie)
So we were in line for this ride and notice Ollie is being real quiet and Chelsea says "where's ollie"? So we look over and this is what we see. I had no idea how he'd done this all on his own! So we asked him to show us how he did it so he goes over facing the wall and starts climbing it, then once he's at the bar he hooks his feet in and then just lets go, holding his weight on his hands. Ok seriously, who does that. Future gymnast, I think so.
Suckers from Grandma.
Grandma and Grandpa with the kids.
Swinging at the San Clemente Inn.
A few weeks ago, my parents, Regan and Pete, and Leah and Steve all came down to San Clemente for a visit. It's worked out pretty nicely that they have a few time shares there because we are only about 15 minutes away, so whenever anyone comes, we get to see them! There isn't anything I like to do more than hang out with my family, I wish everyone could have been there, we missed you. We got to go to the beach, swim in the pool, go to Disneyland, and the petting zoo. There just isn't enough time when you're all together but it was so much fun to see everyone and all these growing kids.

Too much to blog about

Ok so I had all these big plans to blog today with the bajillion pictures I haven't posted yet over the last few weeks but then I got exhausted and now that my husband is home, all I want to do is watch the season finale of Lost and veg out for a minute. It's funny how you have this list of things to do in a day thinking there is enough time to do it all, and then by the end of the day, you're grateful if you got a few of the things done. Isn't motherhood crazy! So here's my teaser to lots of awesome posts to come, when I get some motivation to do it. Don't give up on me yet!

"When I grow up I want to be a pro surfer"

Check out Ryan freshman year at BYU-Hawaii

Ryan has a shirt with these words written on it and everytime I see it, I think about this guy, the aspiring north shore beach bum who's only concern in the world is what board he will pick for what wave he will ride. If Ryan had a secret life outside of his own, this would be it. Actually he does have a secret life but it is quite literally in his dreams. He wakes up 4 days out of the week telling me of dreams spent in Hawaii in the ocean. I sometimes wonder if it's God's gift as if to say, I know you are working hard and providing for your family like a good man, taking the high road even if it's hard sometimes, here's a dream or two to get you through the work week, or even just the day. Sometimes I think it's insane how much a man/father/husband has to give up to become a "provider". Even though being a mom has it's moments of craziness, it's no where near the pressure these guys feel. Hmmmm, so that's why Dad's are heroes. Lately a slogan in our house is "Work sucks", yeah ungrateful maybe, but real. All we want to do it spend time together and it's sad realizing that you spend way more time apart than together. There is something seriously wrong with that. So it's been hard but I want to remind my beach bum surfing husband at heart that I love him and the fact that he works hard and does his job as a father and husband with love and kindness, instead of complaining about a life he could have had on a beach in a hut, with a little less baggage. One day babe and when that day comes, we'll all join you. Now that sounds like a dream.

Ellen!

If you get a chance, look for Jill and I on the Ellen show airing today. We went yeterday for the show and it was tons of fun. There are two girls out of the audience that get featured as the dancers at the beginning of the show. We sat right behind them so I'm thinking we might make it on tv. And it will say Gwenyth Paltrow was on but sadly she was taped last week so we didn't actually see her. But we did win a sweet giveaway and got our dance on!

7 Whole Months

Can you believe this little face is already 7 months old! She is a crawling, sitting up master and even stands up holding her toys. This girl is busy busy, talking and going all day. Recently sleep has been a rough issue. That wonderful sleeping newborn has left and now we have a fussy sleeper. Hopefully it won't last and she will figure out how to get some sleep, and maybe soon the rest of us will too. She needs really consistent naps during the day to sleep well at night which isn't so convenient when all you want to do is spend the day at the beach. Beach napping is the next step. I mean who wouldn't want to nap at the beach? Every outing is still stalled by people wanting to talk to, hold, kiss, or snuggle her. It actually takes about twice as long to get through a grocery run because we are stopping for Amelie to have her social time with all her new friends. She has finally started to take the occasional bottle! She is not picky about food and will eat anything I give her. She is just growing and growing.

My little sister Chelsea got home from BYU for the summer so she came to stay with us for a few days. It was so fun having one of my sisters here. Wouldn't life just be great to have your family around all the time? I could hang out with my sisters all day. I nominate a family-wide move to Orange County. It's not too much to ask. Anyways it was great to have her here and Oliver is totally smitten with Chelsea. After she left late last night, Ollie woke up in the middle of the night and came in our room and said "I want Chelsea".

We are So excited for May! Regan, Pete, and Noelle are coming for a week to San Clemente. Aaron, Meg, and Nita Jr are coming all the way from South Africa for a visit. We get to meet Nita for the 1st time! My best friend Brooke is getting married to Mr. Luke and all my best friends from college are coming for the wedding. I CAN'T WAIT! Life is so much better when all the people you love most are close by.
